Main Objective of Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver a quality service and product to our customers in line with project goals by managing and developing a professional team and applying the companies systems, procedures and culture.

Responsibilities
The unique accountabilities associated with this role will be:

• To develop a Strategy and associated business plan for the Business Unit.

• To develop business relationships with current and prospective clients.

• To contribute information to the central business development and bid team.

• To run the current contracts and framework agreements as a successful business unit and be accountable for P&L.

• To create and implement the Business Plan for the unit.

• To manage the health and safety, quality and environmental aspects of the unit.

• To identify opportunities to improve business processes and procedures.

• To manage all parties associated with the unit.

• To identify problems and offer solutions

• To take responsibility for all parts of the business unit.

 To oversee business development and working winning

At this senior level, the career progression would be horizontal and the role can be grown as the business unit develops

Person Profile

The profile of the ideal candidate including the skills, experience and qualifications necessary to undertake this role are:

Experience Required
• Possess a good operational knowledge of the Utility Market (or related service delivery working in utilities contracting) and is aware of service environments where delivery performance and quality are key to success.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of the current day Gas or Water or Telecoms or Electrical Utility Industry culture.

• Be a strong business manager with a focus on the continued improvement and development of our services.

• Have a track record for delivery of framework contracts.

• Strong people management skills.

• Financial understanding and awareness.

• Capable of lateral thinking in search of optimum solutions.

• The ability to motivate and drive a team based currently in the Midlands and London

Education
Graduate or equivalent education, ideally in an engineering discipline
